I was debating which PG kit to get as I never built one before, and I wanted to at least try one before I take a long break from Gunpla. Well this kit didn’t disappoint. I loved the phased building, in that you can really appreciate all the detail that goes into phase of the building process, from the inner frame, truss placement, and finally the armor pieces. Each time a phase is finished, the figure looks great, and I felt a little disappointed knowing that I would have to cover up the figure in a later phase. This was a good experience building my first Perfect Grade. Just be careful when working with the pre-assembled frame parts, which include the arms, legs, and waist. The instructions tell you that once cut, these pieces should be rotated a certain way to continue with the next step in. However, these pieces were sometimes hard to rotate initially after being cut from the runner. I was lucky for the most part, and the pieces were able to rotate without breaking the piece. However, when I got to the waist, when I turned the side piece, it ended up cracking. In the end, I was still able to continue building the waist even though a piece of it broke off, but this is just a lesson to be extra careful with this kit. With its high price, it’s better to just take it slow and easy, which allows you to savor the experience.
